The 296 a. wood were granted by Thomas and Alice, to Thomas and Joan, and the heirs of Thomas by the body of Joan, with reversion as above. Afterwards Thomas the earl and Alice died, and Thomas the son died without heir of his body and of Joan’s body. Joan, who survived, was solely seised of the rent and manor, except for the 296 a. wood, in demesne as of fee tail according to the form of the grant. She was seised of the wood as of free tenement. The reversions descended as in 61.
