John Rudelond, clerk , John Barker , John Broughton , William Mustel , and Richard Albon were seised of the following in demesne as of fee.
Welwyn, the manor and advowson of the church there, held of the king in chief by provision of one sparrow-hawk, or 2s. yearly. There is the site with a sheepfold, worth 8d. yearly; 300 a. land, worth 50s. yearly; 4 a. meadow, worth 6s. 8d. yearly; 4 a. pasture, worth 12d. yearly; 20s. assize rent taken at Easter and Michaelmas; and two crofts, worth 20d. yearly.
By charter and with the king’s licence, shown to the jurors, they granted the manor and advowson to Thomas Pever, esquire , and Margaret his late wife, and to the heirs of their bodies. Margaret died with Thomas still living.

He died on 22 September last. John Broughton is his kin and next heir as the son of Mary daughter of Thomas and Margaret, and aged 22 and more.
