the manor of Southam called ‘Feeherbertiscourt’
in his demesne as of fee, to himself and his heirs, jointly with John Erlee , now deceased, and Robert Taillour, clerk , who survives, by grant of Thomas Foxcote , who was seised to himself and his heirs at the time of the grant. William, John and Robert were seised in this form, and William died seised together with Robert in his demesne as of fee.
The manor is held of the bishop of Worcester of his manor of Bishop’s Cleeve by service of 1/3 knight’s fee, annual value £10. In the manor there are 10d. assize rents by the hands of free tenants at Lady Day and Michaelmas in equal portions.

He died on 15 January last. John Stokes his son is his next heir, aged 28 years and more.

in his demesne as of fee, to himself and his heirs, jointly with John Erle , now deceased, and Robert Taillour, clerk , who survives, by grant of Thomas Foxcote by fine of 1405 [quin. East. and afterwards oct. Trin. CP 25/1/290/60 no.88] between William, Robert and John, quer. and Thomas deforc. Thomas granted for himself and his heirs that the manor of Foxcotte which Nicholas Bray and Alice his wife then held for Alice’s life and which should revert to Thomas, remain to the quer. and the heirs of William. Nicholas and Alice attorned to the quer. as tenants of the manor in this form, and afterwards died. William, John and Robert were then seised of the manor. William died seised together with Robert in his demesne as of fee.
The manor is held of Stephen Poppeham, knight , in right of his manor of West Dean by 1/4 knight’s fee, annual value 6 marks.

He held the following by curtesy after the death of Elizabeth his former wife, of the inheritance of John Stokes , her son and heir, to whom the reversion belongs.
Brimpton, the manor, with the advowson of the free chapel of this manor. In the manor there are a hall, chamber, grange and garden, worth nothing yearly; a water-mill and a fishery, worth 7s. yearly; 100 a. arable, 54 a. meadow, 6 a. pasture and 4 a. wood, worth 6 marks yearly; a court baron held in the manor once a year and worth nothing yearly; and 26s. 8d. assize rents by the hands of free tenants at Lady Day and Michaelmas in equal portions. The manor is held of the countess of March of her honour of Wigmore, service unknown.
He held the following by curtesy after the death of Maud his late wife, of the inheritance of Robert Broun , her son and heir, to whom the reversion belongs. South Moreton, 5 messuages, 3 tofts, 5 virgates and 3 a. arable, 8 1/2 a. meadow and £4 4s. 3d. and a clove assize rents by the hands of free tenants at the same feasts in equal portions.
Of these, 2 messuages, 2 virgates of arable and 3 a. meadow called ‘Lowches’, another messuage, 3 virgates, 5 1/2 a. meadow and the rent called ‘[unclear: A]dreshammes’, and another messuage called ‘Herewardes’ and 2 tofts are held of the king in chief by service of 1/2 knight’s fee, annual value £3 5s.
The other messuage, 3 a. arable called ‘[unclear: C]olles’ and a toft called ‘Fressharyes’ are held of Thomas Rothewell in socage by service of rendering to Thomas [unclear: 7s.] and 2 capons yearly, annual value nil.
Fulscot and East Hagbourne, 2 messuages called ‘Veners’ and ‘Kembers’, 31 a. arable with a croft called ‘Langecrofte’ containing 1 a. pasture, and 4 a. meadow, of Agnes Huscarll by service of paying her 12s. 6d. yearly, annual value 26s. 8d.
Little Wittenham and Long Wittenham, 2 messuages, 60 a. arable and 3 a. meadow, of the abbot of Abingdon by service of 10s. yearly, annual value 6s. 8d.
Sugworth, by Bagley, a messuage, 8 tofts, a carucate of arable, 10 a. meadow, 10 a. pasture and 10 a. wood, of the same abbot by service of rendering to the abbot 17d. every 17th week, annual value 26s. 7d.
Abingdon, 9 messuages and a virgate, of the same abbot by service of 10s. 3d. yearly, annual value £3 6s. 8d.
He held the following in his demesne as of fee, to himself and his heirs.
?Basildon, a messuage, 40 a. arable, 6 a. meadow and 4 a. wood, called ‘Brymmores’, of Robert Darsy by service of 5s. yearly, annual value 23s. 4d.
Stanford Dingley, the manor,
with the advowson of its church, jointly with John Erle , now deceased, and Robert Taillour, clerk , who survives, by grant of Thomas Foxcote by the fine detailed in 744. Thomas granted the remainder of the manor and advowson which William Holt then held for life by demise of John Golafr ’ and John Outhelys and which should revert to the quer, to the quer. and the heirs of William. William Holt attorned to William, John and Robert as tenant of the manor and afterwards died. William, John and Robert were then seised.
In the manor there are a hall, chamber and grange, worth nothing yearly; a dovecot, worth 20d. yearly; 140 a. arable, 16 a. meadow, 14 a. pasture and 20 a. wood, held of Edward Langeford by service of 1/2 knight’s fee, worth 100s. yearly; and 36s. 8d. assize rents by the hands of free tenants at Lady Day and Michaelmas in equal portions.
Burghfield and Sheffield, 3 a. arable and 21 a. meadow, by enfeoffment of William Langeford, knight , of the abbot of Reading , service unknown, annual value 13s. 4d.
He held the following jointly with Katherine his wife, who survives, to themselves and their heirs, by enfeoffment of William Danuers , John Sibford , Thomas Estbury and John Dyer .
Newbury, 22 messuages, 48 a. arable and 16 a. meadow, described as all messuages, lands, tenements, meadows, pastures in Newbury, which the enfeoffors lately had by grant of this Katherine, annual value 100s. Of these, 12 messuages are held of the countess of March of her honour of Wigmore by fealty and service of 11s. ?2d. at Easter and Michaelmas in equal portions; 7 messuages are held of Lord le Zouche by service of 2s. yearly; and 3 messuages together with the arable and meadow are held of Richard earl of Warwick and Isabel his wife in her right, service unknown.
Weston, 60 a. arable and 8 a. meadow, of the earl of Pembroke , service unknown, annual value 10s.

He died on 1 January 1427. Heir as in 743. Robert Broun is the son and heir of Maud his late wife and is aged 22 years and more.

jointly with Katherine his wife, who survives, to themselves and their heirs by one another, by enfeoffment of William Danuers , John Sibford , Thomas Estbury and John Dyer, the lands etc. described in the enfeoffment as all messuages, lands, meadows and pasture in that vill which they lately had by grant of Katherine.
The messuages, land and meadow are held of the bishop of Lincoln of his manor of Thame, service unknown, annual value 10s.

Date of death and heir as in 743. Richard Abburbury son of Katherine is his next heir to the Thame holding and is aged 21 years and more.
