He held the manor of Southam called ‘Feeherbertiscourt’ in his demesne as of fee, to himself and his heirs, jointly with John Erlee , now deceased, and Robert Taillour, clerk , who survives, by grant of Thomas Foxcote , who was seised to himself and his heirs at the time of the grant. William, John and Robert were seised in this form, and William died seised together with Robert in his demesne as of fee. The manor is held of the bishop of Worcester of his manor of Bishop’s Cleeve by service of 1/3 knight’s fee, annual value £10. In the manor there are 10d. assize rents by the hands of free tenants at Lady Day and Michaelmas in equal portions.
He died on 15 January last. John Stokes his son is his next heir, aged 28 years and more.

He held the manor of Foxcotte in his demesne as of fee, to himself and his heirs, jointly with John Erle , now deceased, and Robert Taillour, clerk , who survives, by grant of Thomas Foxcote by fine of 1405 [quin. East. and afterwards oct. Trin. CP 25/1/290/60 no.88] between William, Robert and John, quer. and Thomas deforc. Thomas granted for himself and his heirs that the manor of Foxcotte which Nicholas Bray and Alice his wife then held for Alice’s life and which should revert to Thomas, remain to the quer. and the heirs of William. Nicholas and Alice attorned to the quer. as tenants of the manor in this form, and afterwards died. William, John and Robert were then seised of the manor. William died seised together with Robert in his demesne as of fee. The manor is held of Stephen Poppeham, knight , in right of his manor of West Dean by 1/4 knight’s fee, annual value 6 marks.

Newbury, 22 messuages, 48 a. arable and 16 a. meadow, described as all messuages, lands, tenements, meadows, pastures in Newbury, which the enfeoffors lately had by grant of this Katherine, annual value 100s. Of these, 12 messuages are held of the countess of March of her honour of Wigmore by fealty and service of 11s. ?2d. at Easter and Michaelmas in equal portions; 7 messuages are held of Lord le Zouche by service of 2s. yearly; and 3 messuages together with the arable and meadow are held of Richard earl of Warwick and Isabel his wife in her right, service unknown.
