Richard Gerveys , 47 years and more, met many men and women coming from the church after John was baptised and they told him that John had been baptised, to his great joy. Thomas Eudon , 47 years and more, was at the church and saw Robert Forster give water to the godfathers and godmother to wash their hands immediately after John was raised from the font. Henry Bromley , 47 years and more, was then serving as bailiff in the manor and at the time of John’s birth was sent to get Alice Parys to be John’s wet-nurse.
