Mich. 1416 [CP 25/1/207/31, no. 11] between Hugh Stafford, knight , William Broughchier, knight , and Thomas [Denton, citizen and mercer of London ], quer., and Gilbert Talbot, knight, lord of Black Park , def., Gilbert granted that the manor of Chalton, which Isabel, countess of Suffolk , formerly wife of John Lestraunge of Black Park, held in dower of Gilbert's inheritance, and which ought to remain after her death to him and his heirs, should remain to Hugh, William and Thomas and the heirs of Thomas. After Isabel's death, Hugh, William and Thomas entered and were seised, so Gilbert had no estate in the manor,

He died overseas at Rouen in Normandy in the king’s army and service on 19 October last. Anchoret Talbot is his daughter and next heir and aged 2¾ years and more.
