Addressed to the sheriff [sic] of Essex, referring to an inquisition taken before Reynold Malyns, late escheator in Essex, which found that she held the manor of 'Stanle alias Giffardes' in Great Sampford of Philippa, duchess of York, of her manor of Wimbish, by unknown service. Inquire as to the service. [The last line or two have been cut off and the date is unknown. Any inquisition that might have resulted is not extant.]n189_001
