Holdings
By his charter dated 8 April 1417, shown to the jurors, he granted the manor of Melbourn to John Grey, knight son of Reynold Grey, lord of Ruthin , John Carbonell , John Havenyngham, senior , knights, John Hotot of Knebworth, John Norwych of Yoxford, Nicholas Howys of Balsham and John Tolle of South Elmham, to hold to them and their heirs and assigns. Afterwards on 16 Jan. 1419 Nicholas Howys by the name of Nicholas Howyssh of Balsham released all his rights to the others by his deed, shown to the jurors. They have held in peace since that date. William Argentein had no rights in the manor.

[With the Exchequer copy is a writ of amoveas manum dated 7 July 1419, removing the king's hand from the manor of Melbourne, it having been found by this inquisition that it was vested in trustees.]
