He held the following by curtesy as of the right of Margaret, lately his wife, who was seised in demesne as of fee tail by grant of Peter Corte, clerk , viz., to her and the heirs of her body.
Watlington, Runcton [North, South, or Holme], Tottenhill, Setchey, and Shouldham Thorpe, a messuage, worth 2s. yearly, 30 1/2 a. land, each acre worth 4d. yearly, 9 a. meadow, each acre worth 8d. yearly, 10s. rent, and the advowson of the church of Watlington, worth 100s. yearly when it falls, held of the king as of his honour of Wormegay as 1/40 knight’s fee.

He died on 10 December last. Katherine, daughter of John Curteys and Agnes, lately his wife, daughter of John Glemesford and Margaret his wife, and Katherine, lately the wife of Thomas Hardekyn , sister of Agnes and daughter of John and Margaret, are Margaret’s next heirs. Katherine, daughter of John Curteys , was aged 6 years on 1 May last, and Katherine, lately wife of Thomas Hardekyn , is aged 34 years and more.

Order to partition the lands into two equal parts and cause William Bolton and Katherine, lately the wife of Thomas Hardekyn , sister of Agnes, to have full seisin of her purparty in her right, William having married her. The king to retain the purparty of Katherine, daughter of John Curteys , until further order [CFR 1430–37, p. 342].
