There is a messuage with other buildings attached, worth nothing yearly; a garden, worth 6d. yearly; 600 a. arable, worth £5 yearly, each acre worth 2d. yearly, payable at the four terms of the year; 8 a. pasture, worth 4s. yearly; 12 a. meadow, worth 12s. yearly, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 20 a. wood, worth nothing yearly because newly cut; £7 2s. 5d. assize rent, with farm of villein land and works in summer and winter, payable as above; and pleas and perquisites of court with view of frankpledge, held in Pentecost week, worth 5s. yearly above the seneschal’s expenses.

She died on 17 July last. Walter Fitzwauter is kin and next heir of Walter, her late husband, as the son of Walter son of Walter, and aged 32 and more.

Richard Sutton, knight , Richard de Upston, clerk , John Bataill , and John Stowe were seised of the manors of Hempnall and Diss, with the hundred of Diss, and all their appurtenances except advowson of the church of Diss in demesne as of fee. They granted them to Walter Fitzwauter, knight , and Philippa his wife, and to the heirs male of the body of Walter by licence of ‪ Richard II [CPR 1385–1389, p. 56]. Walter had male issue: Walter, and died conjointly seised of this estate with Philippa. Walter son of Walter then had male issue: Walter, still living. Philippa died seised of this estate. The manors and hundred are held of the king in chief by knight service as of the barony of Fitzwalter.
