Holdings

He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief or any other in demesne or service. He held

the manor of Penton Mewsey and advowson of the church there, annual value 10 marks, of Lord Seymour, service unknown; and
various lands and tenements in Hatherden, Foxcotte, and Shipton Bellinger, annual value 66s. 8d. These are not held of the king but of whom and by what service they are held is unknown.
Long before his death, he granted the above, described as his manor of Penton Mewsey and all his land, tenements, rents, and services in Hatherden, Foxcotte, and Shipton Bellinger,and the advowson of the church of Penton Mewsey, to Robert, late bishop of Salisbury , Thomas Chaucer , John Golafre , Hamon Bealknap , and John Warfeld , and to their heirs and assigns in perpetuity. This is contained in his charter, sealed with his seal and shown to the jurors. Robert and Hamon afterwards died. Those still alive were seised in demesne as of fee by the right of joint tenants in survivorship. They continue in this estate.

He died on 2 March last. Thomas Stonore , his son and next heir, was aged 7 on 23 March last.
