Holdings
He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief in demesne as of fee in service or reversion, nor of any other. He granted the following long before his death to Alice, lately wife of John Dalyngregge, knight , Ralph Boteler, esquire , son of Alice, and William Bernes , and to their heirs and assigns in perpetuity. The grant was made by charter dated 10 April 1420. It was shown to the jurors.
Knelle, the manor, annual value 20 marks, with all lands and tenements, rents, reversions, and services, held of John Pelham, junior , as of his lordship as of the rape of Hastings, service unknown.

He died on 4 January last. John Bealknap is his son and next heir, and aged 17 and more.

The enfeoffment was made by a charter dated St Mary Cray 6 December 1411. It was shown to the jurors.
Elmdon Lee formerly Leebury, the manor, annual value 66s. 8d., with all its lands, tenements, rents, services, and reversions, held of the king in chief as of his honour of Boulogne as ¼ knight’s fee.

There is a site with buildings, worth nothing; a dovecot, worth 6s. 8d. yearly; a garden containing 2 a., worth 12d. yearly; 10s. 5d. assize rent taken at Easter and Michaelmas by equal parts; 2 cockerels and 9 hens, each worth 3d., taken at Christmas; 80 eggs, worth 4d. yearly, taken at Easter; perquisites of the court held every three weeks, worth nothing yearly above the seneschal’s expenses;n041 190 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 4 a. meadow, each acre worth 16d. yearly; 12 a. heath, each acre worth 1d. yearly; 30 a. underwood, of which 1½ a. may be cut each year and, when cut, each acre is worth 6s. 8d. yearly; a water-mill, worth 40s. yearly; a market held each Wednesday, worth 30s. yearly above the stipend of the bailiff of the market; and a yearly fair held on the Assumption, worth 6s. 8d. yearly.
St Paul’s Cray, 16 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 30 a. pasture and heath, each acre worth 1d. yearly; 25 a. underwood, of which an acre and a rood may be cut each year, and each cut acre is worth 6s. 8d. yearly, held of the duchy of Lancaster as of the fee of Lisle as ¼ knight’s fee.
Orpington, 10 a. arable, worth nothing yearly above service to the lord, held of William Hante, esquire , as of his manor of Crofton in gavelkind by rendering rent of 16d., a hen, and 10 eggs to that manor, and being William’s beadle in the manor of Crofton when elected.
Kingsnorth, the manor, annual value £20 above service to the lords, held of the abbot of Battle in gavelkind, service unknown.
He held the manor conjointly with John, duke of Bedford , Henry Chicheley, archbishop of Canterbury , Thomas Kyryell, knight , John Darell , William Hante , Edward Gyldeforde , Thomas Elys , John Hante , Thomas Betenham , John Ferby , Ralph Hadde , and Roger Rye who is now deceased, by demise of John Wakfeld , citizen and grocer of London, to hold to John, Henry, Thomas Kyryell , Hamon, John Darell , William, Edward, Thomas Elys , John Hante , Thomas Betenham , John Ferby , and Roger, and to the heirs of Hamon in perpetuity. The demise was made by a charter dated Kingsnorth 15 December 1424. It was shown to the jurors.
Date of death and heir as 233. Moreover, the lands and tenements held in gavelkind should be divided equally between the male heirs according to Kentish custom. For this, his sons and next heirs are John, William, and Henry. William is aged 16 and more and Henry is aged 10 and more.
