Holdings
He held the following of the king in chief as of the honour of Boulogne by being chamberlain to the earl of Boulogne and rendering 2d. yearly to the king, delivered by the sheriff.
Rivenhall and Faulkbourne, a tenement called ‘Hohalle’, true annual value 66s. 8d.

He died on 28 August 1424 and Ellis Doreward , kin and heir, entered the tenement without royal licence and took the issues until his own death on 11 March last. Ellis Doreward son of Ellis is his next heir, and turned 7 on 24 August last.

John Sawenere of Black Notley who was indicted of various offences in Essex in 1422

(10 ‪ Henry V)

had four horses at Black Notley on the day of this inquisition. The starred bay was sold at true price to John Wayte of Braintree and fetched 10s., the other bay was sold for 6s. 8d. to John Craponell , ‘chapman’, the grey was sold to John Halle for 6s. 8d., and the white was sold to John Meller of Stisted for 3s. 4d.
