Holdings
He held the following for life by grant of Edmund, late earl of Stafford , reversion to Humphrey earl of Stafford as Edmund’s son and heir.
He died on 14 August 1415 [see also CIPM XX, nos 284–7]. William Galpyn is his kinsman and next heir as son of Eleanor his sister, and is aged 14 years and more. Humphrey earl of Stafford was aged 21 years and more on 15 August last.
Richard Knyghtley and Thomas Stokdale occupied all lands and tenements and took the issues from the time of his death until Humphrey’s majority by virtue of letters patent, and still do so [CFR 1413–22, pp.230–1].
