Inside the courtyard the chamber, completely tiled, on the north of the lower gate, and an outhouse (domus) called ‘le larderhows’, in full recompense for 1/3 all the buildings of the courtyard, with free entry and exit. Assize rents and services of free tenants, and rents and services of villein tenants, yearly as follows, in full recompense for 1/3 rents, services and works of all tenants. Free tenants: Henry atte Rothe 2s. 6d.; William Wygenhale 4s. 10d.; their tenants 6s. 8d.; Maud ?Bangolf 5d.; Thomas Teuersham and William Thressher 4d.; from the lands and tenements lately Alan Welman ’s 7d.; William Landes 2s. 8d.; Robert Hamond 12d.; William Hamond 2s.; John Foulere 5d.; Richard Harlewyn 15d.; John Foulere for a parcel of meadow and other land 12d.; John Listere 4d.; John Vyncent 2s. 8d.; and John Townhord 4s. from the manor of Burrough Green. A new chamber at the lower part of the hall with the buttery and pantry below this chamber, 1/3 grange and 1/3 windmill, in full recompense of 1/3 all buildings; 26 a. 3 roods of wood called ‘Parkewode’ on the south, and 10 a. in ‘Owtwode’; rents and services of free tenants, yearly as follows – from the ‘Bretons’ lands and tenements 4s. 2d., John Cok 2d., John Sergeaunt 6s. 8d., William Lord 2s. 6d., John Belle 2s. 6d., William Baker 5s. and Geoffrey Kyng 3s. 4d.; 2 capons and 1/3 capon yearly; from the demesne lands in the following fields – 9 a. land in ‘le Stubbyngcroft’, 13 a. 3 roods in ‘le Longecroft’ and ‘Stonyhyll’, 44 a. in ‘Raddefeld’ and ‘Owtfeld’; 2 1/2 a. 1/2 rood of meadow fit to mow; several pasture, namely 13 a. in ‘Wardescroft’ and ‘Kebbellyspyghtyll’, 5 a. 1 rood in ‘le Davyes lese’, 12 a. in ‘le Launde’ and 3 a. in ‘le Oldecroft’; 1/3 perquisites of the court; and 1/3 advowson of Burrough Green church, the third time of presentation.
