Holdings

Owing to the death of John Leukenore and the minorities of Elizabeth and Joan his other daughter and heir, now wife of John Bartelot,

£6 9s. 2 1/2d. annual rent, part of the manor of Denne held by service of 1/2 knight fee of John brother and heir of Thomas, late Earl Marshal , a minor in ‪ Henry IV ’s wardship, came into the hands of ‪ Henry IV .
The rent came into ‪ Henry IV ’s hands and is still in those of ‪ Henry VI because the free tenants of the rent never attorned to John Marys, rector of Crawley church, John parson of Broadwater church, John Pardeye , Edward atte Hale , John Payne , Henry Stofold , Henry Garston , John atte Hoo , John Northhoo and John atte Stone , whom John Leukenore , long before his death, had enfeoffed with the manor to themselves and their heirs, according to the terms contained more fully in his charter.
