She and William by a note dated 11 July last made in the presence of Richard Norton, chief justice of the Common Pleas , acknowledged

1/3 manor of Chipping Norton, annual value £10 and held of the king in chief by knight service,
to be the right of Geoffrey Brise, chaplain , and afterwards by a fine levied [quin.] Mich. 1420 [CP 25/1/291/64, no. 95] acknowledged the 1/3 to be the right of Geoffrey as that which Geoffrey, Gilbert Umfrevile , Thomas Marny , Henry Noon , John Coo , John Symond , Richard Fitznicoll and John Coote had of their gift. Remittance and quitclaim with warranty from William, Philippa and the heirs of Philippa to Gilbert etc. and the heirs of Geoffrey, the king's pardon having been obtained as appears by letters patent to Gilbert etc. [1 Oct. 1420: CPR 1416-22, p. 303].

She died on 13 July last. John Passle is her son and next heir, aged 22 years and more.

She held no lands in chief either in demesne or by service in the county but Otes Bodrugan father of Joan wife of Robert Hull senior , whose heir she is, Master William Sergeaux, clerk , and John Dryen, chaplain , were seised of the manors of Tremodrett and Trevellion in demesne as of fee and by their charter dated at Tremodrett 11 June 1389 and shown to the jurors, granted them to Richard Sergeaux, knight , deceased, his wife Philippa and the heirs of their bodies, remainder to unspecified persons. They were seised in fee tail and after their deaths those and other manors descended to Alice, now countess of Oxford , Philippa named in the writ, and Elizabeth mother of Thomas Marney, knight , deceased, as daughters and heirs of Richard Sergeaux and his wife Philippa. Alice, Philippa named in the writ, and Elizabeth, Richard's and Philippa's daughters and heirs, were seised of the manors and other manors, lands and tenements which descended to them by and after the deaths of their parents, and made a partition thereof amongst them, by which the manors of Lanreath, [Lower] Helland, `Trefreock' and Treworder with the advowson of the church of Lanreath and 1/3 manors of Tremodrett and Trevellion were allotted for the portion of Philippa named in the writ. By charter dated at Trevellion 12 Feb. 1407 and shown to the jurors, Philippa, by the name of Philippa widow of Robert Passele, esquire , granted all the above-mentioned manors, advowson and 1/3 to William Swynborn, esquire , for life, reversion to her and her heirs and rendering to them a red rose at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. On the day of her death she held

1/3 Tremodrett and Trevellion in reversion, annual value nil, by knight service of the king in chief of his castle of Launceston and of his duchy of Cornwall.
She held the
manor of Lanreath, annual value £16, and the
advowson of the church, annual value 100s.,
in reversion as of fee of John Dynham .
She held the manor of [Lower] Helland in reversion of John Dynham by service of 1/6 knight's fee, annual value of the manor £10.
She held the manor of Treworder in reversion as of fee of the bishop of Exeter as of his manor of Burniere (?Burneyr..), by service unknown, annual value 20s.
She held the said manor of Trefreock in reversion as of fee of the earl of Warwick, by unknown service, annual value 10 marks.

She died ?13 July last. John Passele is her son and next heir... [Remainder faded and illegible]
