He held 1/2 manor of Steeple Langford, annual value £10,

with the advowson at alternate presentations, annual value nil,

part of the barony of West Dean, in his demesne as of fee of the king in chief as 1/20 barony.

He held a messuage and 6 cottages in Fisherton Anger in his demesne as of fee of other than the king, but of whom and by what service are unknown, annual value 40s. 1 1/2d.

Jointly with his wife Margaret, who survives, he held in his demesne in fee tail 1/2 manors of West Dean and East Grimstead by the grant of John, late parson of Eastrop , and John Mordenne , chaplains, made with the licence of ‪ Henry IV [3 May 1402: CPR 1401-5, p. 93] to them and his heirs male with successive remainders to Robert Popham , his kinsman, and his heirs male, John Popham, knight , brother of Henry, and his heirs male, and the right heirs of Henry. It is held of the king in chief as 1/10 barony, annual value £20.

He held the manor of Fisherton Anger for life by the grant of Thomas Meryet , Robert Veel , John Mottesfond and John Peteryche , with remainder to Stephen Popham and his wife Margaret, daughter of Nicholas Rede of Somerset, esquire , the heirs of his body and his right heirs on the side of his mother Joan.

It is held of other than the king but of whom and by what service are unknown, annual value £22 0s. 3d.

Also for life he held 3 messuages, 4 shops and 2 cottages in Salisbury by the grant of William Alysaundre , John Attebergh and Thomas Payn , with successive remainders to his son John, Stephen Popham, knight , son of Henry, and his heirs male, and Henry and his heirs. They are held of the bishop of Salisbury , service unknown, annual value 10 marks.

Long before his death he enfeoffed the younger Henry, now deceased, in the manor of West Grimstead, to hold to himself and his heirs.

Binstead, the manor except 10 a. meadow, annual value 100s.;

Popham, pasture for 300 sheep in the manor, annual value 12s. 6d.;

Jointly with his wife Margaret, who survives, he held of the king in chief in fee tail by the grant of John, late parson of Eastrop , and John Mordenne [106],

5 messuages, 30 a. arable, and 3 a. meadow in West Dean, part of 1/2 manor of West Dean, with the advowson, as 1/40 barony, annual value 40s.

Jointly with Margaret for their lives he held the manor of Buckland with lands and tenements in Arnewood, Warborne, Avon, Sway, South Baddesley, Lymington, Newport, Uggeton, Old Lymington, Worthy Pauncefoot, Batramsley and Buckland, by the grant of Philip Beek of Lymington, chaplain , Thomas Pulgo , Thomas Payn and Richard Drapere of Lymington for their lives with successive remainders to their son John Popham , William Mewis , brother of Lewis Mewys , Lewis Mewys and his wife Elizabeth, John Popham son of John Popham, knight , and Thomas Popham son of John Popham, knight , and the heirs of the bodies of each in turn, and the right heirs of Henry Popham .

It is held of others than the king, but of whom and by what service are unknown, annual value 40 marks.

Long before his death he enfeoffed Henry Popham junior , now deceased, in all his lands and tenements in Farringdon and Popham, except for the pasture noted above, and in certain lands etc. in Alton, to hold to him and his heirs.
