Holdings
He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief or in service. John Bysshoppestre, chaplain , was seised of the following in demesne as of fee, which he granted to William Babthorp and John Marchall and their heirs and assigns. In the charter, dated at Keythorpe 16 August 1420 and shown to the jurors, the premises were described as all his messuages, lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, rents and reversions in Keythorpe. As a result of the grant William was seised jointly with John, who survives, and died seised of such estate.
He died on 4 November last. William Babthorp is his son and next heir, aged 20½ and more.
