He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief in demesne or in service. Baldwin Malet and Thomas Stawell , knights, and William Hastyng were lately seised of the following in demesne as of fee, which they granted by indented charters to William and Philippa his wife, and the heirs of their bodies, so that they were seised in demesne as of fee tail. William died seised of such estate. Philippa, who is the daughter of Baldwin, survives.
East Bagborough, the manor, annual value 12 marks, held of Philip Courteney, knight , of his manor of East Quantoxhead, by knight service.
Godewynysboure’, the manor, annual value £10, held of James, lord Audley , of his manor of Nether Stowey, by knight service.
Certain lands and tenements in North Bower are parcel of the manor, annual value 13s. 4d., held of Alexander Hody , of his manor of Otterhampton, by knight service.
Compton Bishop, a messuage and 12 a. land;
Westbury-sub-Mendip, a messuage and 14 a. land;
Webbington, 2 messuages and 40 a. land;
Barton, 8 a. land

annual value 40s., held of the bishop of Bath in socage.
Westonzoyland, 24 a. land and 16 a. meadow, annual value 33s. 4d., held of the abbot of Glastonbury in socage.

He died on 21 April 1443. William Godewyn is his son and next heir, aged 12 and more.
