Holdings
Nicholas Ingowe was seised of the following messuage, land, meadow, pasture and moiety in demesne as of fee during the reign of Edward III [1327–77]. He granted them to John Ingowe , his son, and Christine his wife, and the heirs of the body of John, with remainder to Thomas Ingowe, junior , son of Nicholas and brother of John, now deceased, and to his heirs. John and Christine were thus seised, viz., John in demesne as of fee tail, and Christine in demesne as of free tenement. John afterwards died seised of his estate without heir of his body. Christine survived him and held the messuage etc. in survivorship in demesne as of free tenement. She died seised of this estate and the messuage etc. should remain to William Ingowe as son and heir of Thomas son of Nicholas.She died on 20 April last. William son of Thomas is 40 years and more. John Robynson is her son and next heir, and aged 40 years and more.
