Holdings
John Henege , Richard Lumbard , and Richard Fryth demised the manor of Wakerley, and advowson of the church there, to Thomas, bishop of Durham , for life, without impeachment of waste, with remainder to Reynold West, knight, Lord La Warre , William de la Pole, earl of Suffolk , William Wenard , John Westbury , Richard Wentworth , and Thomas Fychet , and their heirs, to hold of the king and his heirs by due service. The grant was made by indented deed dated at Wakerley on 9 June 1429, shown to the jurors. Royal licence was obtained [CPR 1422–29, pp. 485–6].He died on 20 November last. Henry Langley is his next heir, as the son of Henry Langley brother of the bishop, and aged 40 years and more.
