MAUD WHO WAS WIFE OF JOHN, EARL OF ARUNDEL

378 Writ de dote assignanda. ‡ 18 November 1435. [Wymbyssh].

Regarding lands that came to the king’s hand owing to the death of the late earl and the minority of Humphrey his son and heir. The king has commanded the abbot of Milton to take the oath regarding re-marriage. To be assigned in the presence of the next friends of the heir, or his attorneys [CClR 1435–41, pp. 1–2, for writ de dote assignanda dated on 16 November 1435].

‘Cleylond’ and ‘Croftelond’, certain lands called ‘Cleylond’ and ‘Croftelond’. Rotherbridge, the hundred with view of frankpledge
