Holdings
He held the following, except advowson of the church, in demesne as of fee tail conjointly with Alice his wife, still living, by enfeoffment of John Gardener, parson of Silton , Robert Squybbe , William Hyne, vicar of Martinstown , and John Fauntleroy of Dorset, junior , to William and Alice and to the heirs of William’s body, with remainder to the right heirs of William in perpetuity. The grant was made by charter dated Silton 18 September 1418 and shown to the jurors.
Silton, the manor, annual value 20 marks, held of Richard, earl of Salisbury , as of his castle and manor of Christchurch by knight service.
He was seised in demesne as of fee of
the bailiwick of the forester of the forest of Gillingham; a messuage called ‘Esthaymes’; a close in Motcombe; a close called ‘Sadelborne’; and 18 a. arable within the fee of Milton, annual value 20s. The bailiwick, messuage, and close in Motcombe are held of Joan, queen of England , as of her manor of Gillingham. Of whom the close called ‘Sadelborne’ is held is unknown.n074 The 18 a. land is held of Humphrey Stafford, knight , as of his manor of Milton, service unknown.
He was seised as of fee and by right of reversion of a messuage that Walter Skryne holds for life. He granted the bailiwick, messuage, closes, land, and reversion to Thomas Hody , John Gardener, rector of Silton , and John Palmere , now deceased, and to their heirs in perpetuity. Walter Skryne attorned to them. The grant was made by charter shown to the jurors.

He died on 21 May 1430. John Bydyk , his son and next heir, is aged 12 and more.
