THOMAS SON OF JOHN ROTHENHALE, CHEVALIER

Holdings

The following came to the hands of Henry V and is still in the king’s hands owing to the death of John Rothenhale and the minority of Thomas.

Burnham, the manor called Polsted Hall, annual value £10, held of the king as of the castle of Dover by fealty and service of 20s. payable at Michaelmas.

Thomas died on 8 June 1422 without heir of his body. Anne and Elizabeth Rothenhale, daughters of John Rothenhale , were sisters and heirs of Thomas. Elizabeth died on 15 June 1422, a minor in the king’s wardship without heir of her body. Anne was aged 21 on 26 July last.
