Holdings
He held the following in demesne as of fee tail.
Little Bedwyn, 1/3 manor, held of the king in chief by fealty only.There are 60 a. land, of which 20 a. can be sown yearly. Each sown acre is worth 3d. yearly, but when unsown is worth nothing yearly because the land lies in common and is common pasture.
John Lane, chaplain , and Walter Morant gave it to John Sidele and Margery his wife, and to the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the heirs of Margery’s body. The grant was made by a fine with royal licence obtained.
Little Bedwyn, 4 messuages, worth nothing yearly because ruinous and unoccupied; 12 a. wood, worth 3s. yearly; 8s. 9d.n005 rent payable yearly at Michaelmas and Candlemas by equal parts; and 2 carucates of land consisting of 80 a. arable. Of this, 30 a. can be sown yearly. Each sown acre is worth 3d. yearly but when unsown is worth nothing yearly because the land lies in common and is common pasture. The messuages etc. are held of the heirs of John Rok by 5s. yearly.

Margery his wife was formerly married to John Shoorte by whom she had issue: Christine, but she died without issue by him. He died on 15 February last. Richard Sidele is his brother and next heir, and aged 50 and more. Christine, now wife of Henry Parker , is Margery’s daughter and next heir of her body. She is aged 40 and more.
