As detailed in the writ, the inquisition held before John Danuers, former escheator and returned to Chancery [above 451], found that William Molyns, knight , held in his demesne as of fee 1/4 manor of Standlake with the advowson of 1/4 Standlake church of the king in chief by knight service of the honour of Aumale; and that William Molyns is his son and next heir, aged 19 years and more on 8 December 1424. William Molyns , son of William Molyns, knight , was married at Ewelme long before his father’s death, to Anne daughter of John Whalesburgh and still is. The marriage banns between William and Anne were celebrated and solemnized according to ecclesiastical law in the parish church there on 1 May 1423, William Molyns the father then alive and present. Their marriage continued throughout the father’s life and they remain married. Thus William the son was married to Anne in his father’s lifetime and remains so.
