...itha Fowle, former wife and executrix of John Fowle , citizen of Chichester, was seised in her demesne as of fee of

two tenements in the Pallant of the archbishop of Canterbury
and
a cottage and dovecot in ‘Estelane’ in the city of Chichester
. By her charter shown to the jurors she granted and confirmed the tenements, cottage and dovecot among other lands and tenements, described as all the lands, tenements, rents, reversions, customs and services which she had within and without Chichester and in its suburbs, to John Foxle and Isabel his wife and the heirs of their bodies, remainder to Isabel and the heirs of her body if John were to die without such issue by Isabel, and then to Thomas Foxle and John More and their heirs and assigns, as is contained more fully in the charter. Isabel died without heir by John Foxle , who subsequently died seised of this estate and no other, without heir by Isabel. Thomas Foxle , of full age, survives; John More died during John Foxle ’s lifetime.
The two tenements in the Pallant are held of the archbishop of Canterbury in socage
and
the cottage and dovecot are held of the dean and chapter of Chichester by fealty and service of 2s.
