He held the manor of ?Grene Garnys [ms galled] for life by grant of Richard de Sancto Mauro, chevalier, senior , who held the manor at the time of this arrangement in his demesne as of fee of the abbot of Westminster , service unknown, reversion after William’s death to Alice wife of William le Zouche, chevalier , and Richard’s kinswoman and heir as daughter of Richard de Sancto Mauro, chevalier , his son. Annual value of the manor 45s.

He died on 30 September 1415. Alice was aged 14 years on 23 July last.

Ralph earl of Westmorland occupied the manor and took the issues after William’s death and still takes them, manner or title unknown.n242_001
