Holdings
Thomas Beaumond and Henry Crosse were seised in their demesne as of fee of the manor of Heanton Punchardon with the advowson of its church, held by knight service of Edward Cortenay, late earl of Devon , named in the writ. By their charter shown to the jurors, they granted the manor and advowson to William Beaumond and Isabel his wife, specified in the writ, and William’s heirs, to hold of the chief lords of that fee by services thence owed and customary by right. William and Isabel were seised and William continued in the estate for his lifetime. He thus held in his demesne as of fee jointly with Isabel of the late earl by grant of Thomas Beaumond and Henry Crosse .

Mersshe, the manor, held of William Langeford ’s heir, service unknown. In the manor there are the capital messuage, worth nothing yearly; £4 assize rents; a dovecot, worth 3s. 4d. yearly; 40 a. arable, worth 20s. yearly; 10 a. meadow, worth 20s. yearly; 10 a. wood, its pasture worth 2s. yearly; and 40 a. furze and heath, worth 13s. 4d. yearly.
Thomas Beaumond his son is next heir, aged 21 years and more.
