Holdings
She was not seised of any lands or tenements in her demesne as of fee. Thomas, late earl of Arundel , was seised in his demesne as of fee tail, namely to himself and the male heirs of his body, of the castle and lordship of Dawley with its members of Tibberton and Stirchley. He was seised by the grant of John de Alresford and John Sprot, chaplain , to Richard, late earl of Arundel , father of Richard his father, and his male heirs by Eleanor daughter of Henry of Lancaster, senior, late earl of Lancaster , by a fine levied in the court of King ‪Edward, ancestor of ‪Henry VI, referring to these and other lands and tenements [oct. Trin. 1347, CP 25/1/287/43 no.1]. He demised and granted them to Margaret for life, reversion to himself and his male heirs in fee tail as above.
Dawley. The castle and lordship with its member of Tibberton are held of the manor of Hinstock by petty serjeanty and its member of Stirchley is held of the abbot of Buildwas in socage, their annual value 100s.
She was seised of the manor of Child's Ercall for life by demise of Robert Pobelowe and Thomas Harlyng , clerks, William Ryman and other co-feoffees of Thomas, late earl of Arundel , reversion to these feoffees and their heirs in fee simple.
Child's Ercall. It is held of John son of John Arundell, chevalier , a minor in ‪the king’s wardship, of his manor of Wroxeter, by knight service, annual value 100s.

She died on 7 May last. The same John son of John Arundell, chevalier , is the kinsman and next male heir of the late earl, aged 16 years and more.

Thomas, late earl of Arundel , was seised in his demesne as of fee tail, namely to himself and the male heirs of his body, of the following manors by the gift and enfeoffment by fine in 118. Long before he married Beatrice, now countess of Arundel , Thomas demised by his charter the manors to Margaret for life, reversion to himself and his male heirs in fee tail. She was seised as of free tenement and continued in possession until her death. The reversion pertains to John – son and male heir of John Arundell, late Lord Arundel and Mautravers, chevalier – as kinsman and male heir of Thomas, late earl of Arundel , being the son of John son of John son of John brother of Richard son of Richard, late earl of Arundel , and a minor in ‪the king’s wardship. The manors are held of ‪the king in chief by knight service.

Pinkhurst, the manor, in which there are £7 assize rents; 100 a. land and pasture, each acre worth 4d.; and 10 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d.
Leigh, the manor, in which there are 160 a. arable, each acre worth 4d.; and 30 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d.
Wepham, the manor, in which there are £6 13s. 4d. assize rents; 14 a. arable, each acre worth 4d.; 2 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d.; and 40 a. wood, its pasture worth 1/2d. each acre.
Offham, the manor, with a fishery there. In the manor there are 100s. assize rents; 3 gardens containing 3 a. land, each acre worth 8d.; 60 a. arable, each acre worth 4d.; 40 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d.; 100 a. pasture, each acre worth 1/2d. yearly; 16 a. wood, each acre of its pasture worth 1/2d. yearly; and a pasture [?recte the fishery], worth 26s. 8d. yearly.
She held the following manors for life by demise of Thomas, late archbishop of Canterbury , Thomas, late Lord de Camoys , John Bohun , John Wiltshir , William Hankeforde , William Thirnynge, knight , Robert Pobelow , Thomas Harlyng, clerk , William Cheyne , John Broghton , Nicholas Carrew , Robert Hille , William Ryman and Robert Ingler , reversion to all these and their heirs. The
manors of South Stoke,
and are held of the same John son of John Arundell , service unknown; those of and of the bishop of Chichester of his manor of Thrymgewyke, service unknown; and of whom
the manor of Coltstaple
is held is unknown. She died seised of these manors as of her free tenement for life, as above, and not in any other manner.
South Stoke, the manor, in which there are £6 assize rents; 3 gardens containing 2 a. land, worth 2s. yearly; 70 a. arable, each acre worth 4d.; 40 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d.; 200 a. pasture, each acre worth 1/2d.; and a fishery, worth 20s. yearly.

She died on 30 April last. John son of John Arundell is the next male heir of John of Arundel, chevalier, Lord Mautravers , aged 15 years and more.
