tenement called Crouchmans in Hempstead, which she held by knight service of Richard son and heir of

Also that William died seised in his demesne as of fee of 37 a. arable, 3 a. meadow and 1 a. wood in Little Radwinter, held of

, of Cooling in Kent
, of his manor of Radwinter, by service of rendering 12 barbed iron arrow-heads yearly or 6d. at Christmas, saving the service to the king, namely that which pertains to the tenure of this fee in that vill.
The manor of Radwinter alias Little Radwinter, is held of the king
of his duchy of Lancaster by knight service.
A wood called ‘Spayneswode’ in the vill of Finchingfield came into the hands of
Henry IV
and subsequently Henry V and
Henry VI
owing to the death of Mary and William’s minority, details as in 40.
It is part of those lands and tenements mentioned in the inquisition held after William’s death before
