Richard II was seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of Helston with the borough there, as part of his duchy of Cornwall. By letters patent [CPR 1388–92, pp.121–2], he granted the manor and borough to Nicholas Sarnesfeld, knight , deceased, and Margaret his wife, who survives, for their lives in survivorship. They were seised in their demesne as of free tenement. Nicholas died seised and Margaret later granted the manor and borough by her deed to John Wilcotes , deceased, and Thomas Frankelyn , named in the writ [i.e. commission], for her lifetime. They were seised in their demesne as of free tenement. John and then Thomas died seised.
He died on 6 October last. William Frankelyn son of John Frankelyn his brother, is his kinsman and next heir, aged 10 years and more.
