He held the manor of Albrighton for life by grant of Thomas le Warre, clerk , brother and heir of John le Warre, knight , and John de Overton by a fine shown in evidence to the jurors levied [oct. Purification] 1404 [CP 25/1/195/20, no. 9], reversion to Hugh Huls , Thomas Thorneburgh , deceased, Roger Horton and Henry Bircheles , who survive, and the heirs of Hugh Holes in fee simple. The manor is held of the king in chief by knight service. There are in it the site, annual value nil, 300 a. arable worth yearly 5d. an acre, 50 a. meadow worth yearly 18d. an acre, 20 a. wood, 20 a. waste and heath and 40 a. moor, annual value nil above wood for fencing.
He died on 9 May last. John Wolmere is his next heir [relationship not given], aged 30 years and more.
