He held of the king as duke of Lancaster for life by letters patent of the duchy dated 24 April 1400, shown to the jurors, an inn in Calais called `Dukesynne', annual value nil, rendering 5 marks yearly at Easter and Michaelmas in equal portions and maintaining 2 watchmen for the mayor of Calais .
He died on 14 Feb. 1419. Durand [sic] is his son and next heir, aged 13 years and more.
