One messuage and 20 a. arable are held of Stephen Popham, knight , service unknown, annual value 20s., the other messuage, 60 a. arable, 20 a. meadow, 10 a. wood, £8 rent, a rent of 12 qtr. salt in Hyde, Romsey and Marchwood and the rest of the lands and tenements are held of the abbess of Romsey , service unknown. Annual values: a messuage and 60 a. arable, 40s.; 20 a. meadow, 20s.; 10 a. wood nil because the underwood can be sold; 12 qtr. salt, 30s.
He died on 15 Oct. last. Joan Romesye is his daughter and next heir, aged 1/2 year and more.
