Holdings

Nicholas de Swynerton, formerly parson of Mucklestone , and Robert de Brompton, formerly parson of Standon , were seised in their demesne as of fee of the manor of Standon and the advowson of the church of the manor, and by a charter shown and read to the jurors, granted them to Vivian (Vivianus) de Staundon, knight, his wife Elizabeth and the legitimate heirs of their bodies, remainder to the right heirs of Vivian. So seised, Vivian and Elizabeth had issue Elizabeth and Joan, who entered after the deaths of their parents and were seised according to the form of the gift. Elizabeth married Gilbert Shotesbrok and had issue John Shotesbrok , who survives. Gilbert and Elizabeth were seised of 1/2 manor for life and John entered after their deaths. Joan married Geoffrey Boydell and had issue William Boydell named in the writ. Geoffrey and Joan had an estate in the other moiety. Geoffrey died and Joan was seised according to the form of the gift in 1/2 manor and the advowson. She granted her portion to William Boydell who was thereby seised. William married Katharine and had issue Henry.

Standon, 1/2 manor and advowson, held by knight service of Humphrey, earl of Stafford , a minor in the king's wardship, annual value £4.

He died on 10 Aug. last. Henry Boydell is his son and next heir, aged 10 years and more.

Holdings

Findings as in 523, except that Joan is said to have died during the lifetime of William, who also died, and 1/2 manor and advowson descended to Henry named in the writ as son of William according to the form of the gift and Henry thereby died seised.

Henry died on 9 Sept. last. Henry Boydell, clerk , aged 30 years and more, is his uncle and next heir, i.e. brother of William father of Henry.

Henry Boydell, clerk, brother of William Boydell, esquire, who held from Humphrey, earl of Stafford, a minor in the king's ward, by knight service, and uncle of Henry, son of William, who died a minor in the king's ward, has died while a minor and in the king's ward [sic]. Inquire what lands came into the king's hand by reason of the deaths of William and his son Henry and by reason of the minorities of Henry the son and Henry the brother.

Henry Boydell, clerk , died on 30 Sept. last. John Shotesbrok , aged 40 years and more, is his kinsman and heir, i.e. son of Gilbert and Elizabeth sister of Joan mother of Henry Boydell, clerk .
