He died on 14 June 1400. William Frogenhale , his son and heir, is aged 21 years and more.

On his death ‪ Henry IV granted the keeping of the manors of Buckland and Luddenham with the ward and marriage of William to Semeine de Tonge and his executors. He held all his life and took the profits. Then William Makenade , deceased, and Thomas Brounstone of Preston held all the other tenements of John Frogenhale from his death until 8 Feb. 1412 without title, for which they made fine to ‪ Henry IV . Afterwards ‪ Henry IV committed all to Semeine de Tonge and his executors by a yearly farm. After his death Arnold Tonge, clerk , Roger Rye , William Barbour , Richard Sencler , John Faversham and John Baron , executors of Semeine de Tonge, held and took the profits until 1 Sept. 1415. Roger Honyngton then held.
