Orlestone, Warehorne, Ruckinge and Shadoxhurst, various lands and tenements in gavelkind, of the archbishop of Canterbury , in right of his archbishopric, and of the prior of Monks Horton , in right of his church, services unknown, annual value 40s.

He died on 20 Aug. last. Margaret, wife of William Parker of Warehorne, and Joan, wife of William Scot of Brabourne, are his sisters and heirs, aged 30 years and more and 23 years and more.

181A Writ de partitione facienda . 30 August 1419. [Wymbyssh]. Teste John, duke of Bedford.

To the escheator of Kent. The homage due from William Parker of Warehorne , who married Margaret, and from William Scot of Brabourne , who married Joan, the sisters and heirs of Richard Orleston, esquire , for the respective purparties in his lands of Margaret and Joan, by reason of both Williams having had issue by their respective wives, have been respited to Christmas next for 2 marks paid in the hanaper. Order to take the fealty of both Williams and to take security from them for payment of a relief, and to make a partition between the couples in their presence, and to deliver seisin to each of them. Each couple to have in their purparty a share of the lands held of the king in chief and so be the king’s tenant. [CFR 1413-22, p. 288.]
