By the courtesy of England after the death of Joan his wife and of her inheritance he held:
Bradford on Avon and Trowle. 1 messuage, 2 market stalls, 2 cottages, 1 toft, 53 1/2 a. arable, 8 1/2 a. meadow, 2 a. wood and 6 a. pasture, of the abbess of Shaftesbury , by a rent of 10s 6d., annual value 57s.4d.
Bradford on Avon, 1 burgage, of John Lysle by a rent of 6s., annual value 12d.
Iford, 3 roods of meadow, of the prior of Winchester , by a rent of 4d. annual value 20d.
He died on 3 Nov. 1419. John Kendale , aged 24 years and more, the son of Isabel daughter of Joan is Joan’s heir and next heir of John Wyke to the messuage etc. and the burgage.
Since John’s death William Scardeburgh and William Grey have held the premises by royal letters patent [CFR 1405–13, p.218].
