She once held in fee tail the manor of Breedon on the Hill extending in Somerby, Little Dalby, Holwell and Ab Kettleby. She granted it to Roger Floure and others and his heirs and assigns, and they regranted it to her for life, and so she held it, annual value 40 marks.

She died on 12 Oct. last. Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Malory, knight , her son, is her next heir, aged 11 years and more.

Regarding 1031: inquire as to the names of those to whom the manor of Breedon on the Hill was granted; of whom the manor is held and by what services; and to whom the manor pertains after Alice’s death.

She was lately seised in fee tail of the manor of Breedon on the Hill with its members in Somerby , Little Dalby , Holwell , and Ab Kettleby ; and by charter dated at Breedon on the Hill on 20 May 1411, shown to the jurors, by the name of Alice Basset, lady of ?Bytham , she granted it, described as her manors of Breedon on the Hill, Holwell, Ab Kettlelby, Somerby, and Little Dalby, to Roger Floure, Walter de Sancto ..rmano, clerk, Robert de Leke, chaplain, Robert de Wyclyff, clerk, John Dalton, and William de Paxton, chaplain [estate not specified]. They were seised and afterwards, by indented charter dated at Breedon on the Hill on 8 June 1411, shown to the jurors, Roger, Walter, Robert de Wyclyff, William de Paxton, and Robert de Leke and John Dalton, described as Robert de Leeke and John de Dalton, granted the manors to Alice, described as above, for the term of her life. She was seised in demesne as of free tenement and died so seised. The manor with its members as above is held of the king, of the honour of Tutbury , parcel of the duchy of Lancaster [service not specified].

After her death all the lands ought to revert to Roger, Walter, Robert de Wyclyff, William de Paxton, Robert de Leek, John Dalton and their heirs.
