Long before his death he gave all his lands in Killamarsh by charter to Henry Shirley, parson of Barlborough . They are held of Nicholas de Longeford, knight , as parcel of the manor of Killamarsh, service unknown. Nicholas holds of the king of the honour of Peverel by the service of finding a horse, value 5s., and a sack with a goad ( unum saccum cum uno stimulo ) for 40 days with the king’s army for war in Wales.
He died on 21 July last .
