He was seised of the following in demesne as of fee.
Cannon Street, 10 messuages severally adjoining; and 13s. 4d. rent from 2 tenements which were of John Wellys, late mayor ;
Bush Lane, a messuage called ‘le Bussh Taverne’;
Nicholas Lane , a messuage between the tenement of Simon Eyre to the south, and the church of St Nicholas Acon to the north;
Abchurch Lane, a messuage situated on the corner, to the west;
Sherborne Lane, 5 cottages;
20s. rent from a messuage called ‘le Drapershalle’;
20s. 4d. rent from the guildhall;
10s. rent from a messuage called ‘le Threenounys’ in the parish of St Mary Woolnoth; and
3s. 4d. rent from a tenement which John Gasgill lately held
. All the above are worth £20 yearly and are held of the king in free burgage.
He had issue: Nicholas, and died seised of such estate on 25 December 1425. After his death the above descended to Nicholas, who survives, as son and heir. He has been an idiot since his birth, so his custody, and the custody of the above, pertains to the king.

William Southcote received the issues of the above from the time of John’s death until the day of this inquisition.

[Dorse:] This inquisition was delivered here to the Exchequer on 3 February by Thomas Mullyng, clerk and deputy of the escheator .
