Richard Colles and Alice his wife were lately seised of the following in demesne as of fee, in right of Alice. By a fine [CP 25/1/79/87/6], shown to the jurors, in the king’s court at Westminster, 2 Henry VI [1423–4], between John Blount and Willelma his wife, querents, and Richard and Alice, deforciants , Richard and Alice acknowledged the messuage, etc., to be the right of John and that which they had granted to John and Willelma and their heirs, and quitclaimed the same. Willelma survives and holds the messuage, etc., by right of survivorship.
Woodmancote, a messuage, worth 2s. yearly; a carucate of land containing 60a., each acre worth 2d. yearly; and 2 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly, held of the abbess of Lacock , service unknown.
