He was seised of the following, jointly with Margaret his wife, who survives, by enfeoffment made to them and the heirs of Thomas by Thomas’s father, Thomas Surtes, knight . He died seised of such estate.
North Gosforth, the manor, annual value 4 marks, held of the king in chief by knight service and by 9s. annual rent called ‘castelward’.

He died on 25 December 1443. Thomas Surtes is his son and next heir, aged 10 and more.
