He held no lands or tenements in demesne or service of the king in chief. He did, however, hold the following to him and the heirs male of his body from the inheritance of Richard Blencowe by demise of Thomas Blencowe , grandfather of Richard, to John Blencowe , father of Robert, and the heirs male of his body. Robert died without heir male of his body, and reversion thus belongs to Richard Blencowe and his heirs, as more fully shown in the indented charter of Thomas Blencowe. The messuages, land, and meadow are held in chief of Ralph, baron of Greystoke, by service of rendering 2s. 6d. cornage yearly at Martinmas and by suit at the court of Greystoke every three weeks. Each messuage is worth 2s. yearly, and each acre of land and meadow is worth 6d. yearly. He died on 22 September 1439. John Southayk is his kin and next heir, and aged 24 and more.
