Holdings
A fine was levied at Westminster on the octave of Michaelmas 1434 [CP 25/1/292/68, no. 151], before William Babyngton , John Martyn , John Juyn , James Strangways , John Cottesmore , and William Paston , justices, and others present, between William Delabere , Kenward Delabere , and Richard Sturmy, querents , and William Thomas and Agnes his wife, deforciants, regarding, among other things, the manors of Stoke Bliss and Whyle. William Thomas recognised the manor to be the right of William Delabere , as that which William, Kenward, and Richard had by grant of William Thomas . For that recognition and fine, William Delabere , Kenward, and Richard granted the manors to William Thomas and Agnes, and the heirs of their bodies together. Failing such issue, the manors should wholly remain to the right heirs of William Thomas , as more fully contained in the fine shown to the jurors. William and Agnes were thus seised of the manors, and William died jointly seised of this estate with Agnes, who is still living. He died on 25 August last. John Thomas , his son and next heir, is aged 2 years and more.
