But he formerly held the following messuages, lands, etc., by curtesy for life from their inheritance after Alice’s death, and by an indented charter dated on 1 July 1428, shown to the jurors, he demised all this lifetime estate which he had in them to John Curteys , by the name of all lands, tenements, rents and services which belonged to Thomas Lathe, esquire , and Alice his wife in Norfolk, reversion after John Cavendissh ’s death to Elizabeth and Emma.TNA reference
