Griffin Kynaston , 50 years and more, sworn and examined about John’s age, swears that he was born at Wattlesborough, baptised in the church of the same vill, and was 21 years of age on 12 June last. He was in the church when John was baptised, and saw John [recte Gilbert], Lord Talbot, stand as godfather; he thus well recollects that John was the said age. Philip Otteley , 50 years and more, was at the baptism and saw Lawrence Merbury stand as the other godfather. John Ouneslowe , 50 years and more, was at the baptism and saw the lady Joan Prayres stand as godmother. John Parys , 50 years and more, was also in the church and held a torch at the baptism.
