He held the following in his demesne as of fee.He died on 10 September 1415. John his son was then his next heir, and aged 6 years and more, but John, an unmarried minor, died seised of the manor, lands, and tenements without heir of his body on 3 September 1422. Hugh, brother and heir of John, is son and now heir of Hugh, named in the writ, and aged 21 years and more.
Henry V occupied the manor, wood, lands, and tenements, and took the issues, from the time of Hugh’s death until 12 January 1416 when, by letters patent [recited in the inquisition: CPR 1413–16, pp. 388–9], he granted custody of the manor, etc., to Thomas Staunton, esquire . The letters were shown to the jurors. Thomas occupied the manor, etc., and took the issues, from that 12 January until 1 May 1423 when, by his charter, he granted his estate to Bartholomew Brokesby . Bartholomew occupied the manor, etc., and took the issues, until 8 August 1432 when, by his charter, he granted his estate to Gervase Clyfton, knight. Gervase occupied them and took the issues until the day of this inquisition.
